Claudia is a provisional psychologist, currently completing a Masters of Educational and Developmental Psychology.
Claudia has a background in early childhood education, having originally worked as a kindergarten teacher for four years. Within this role Claudia developed a
passion for working with children and families, and spent the next 5 years of her career working in the family violence sector, including high security refuge and crisis response.
Claudia is currently completing a PhD exploring trauma informed practice in early childhood
Claudia currently works with children (aged birth to 10) and their families. Claudia can assist and support children who are identified as neurodiverse, within the context of the family system. Neurodiverse presentations include: Autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, and intellectual disability.
Claudia takes a strengths-based, family systems approach with a focus on empowering the whole family unit. Claudia uses a range of evidenced based, developmentally appropriate interventions and approaches including child-centred play therapy, psychoeducation and cognitive behavioural therapy.
